Once your piece is shaped and painted, you can return it to our St Arnaud studio for its final firing and glazing (cone 6) or find a local kiln and asked them to glaze it near you. After firing, your creation will be food-safe, durable, and ready to use or gift.
Prefer not to fire it? You can also let your piece dry fully (bone dry) and decorate it with acrylic paint—just note it won’t be waterproof.

Can I pick up my kit in person?
Yes, you're welcome to collect your kit from our St Arnaud studio. We may also offer delivery – feel free to ask about options.
What if I mess up the design?
Mistakes happen! You can easily wipe away wet paint with a damp sponge or cloth before it dries.
Is the kit safe for kids and pregnant people?
Absolutely. Our paints are lead-free and non-toxic, making them safe for all ages. Children should be supervised by an adult while painting.
Will the paint stain clothing?
While most colours wash out easily, darker shades like red may leave stains. It’s best to wear something you don’t mind getting messy.
How do I plan my design without a pencil?
Sketching isn't necessary — just dive in and paint freely! The best pieces are often spontaneous.
What if my pottery breaks during shipment? Can I get a replacement?
