Studio Guidelines
Experienced Potters Only

Open Studio is an independent, self-directed session and is not a structured teaching class. To attend, you should be confident working independently and have previously completed a beginner or multi-week pottery course with Pottery Embassy or another pottery studio. Current Pottery Embassy students are welcome to attend to practise between classes.

Clay & Firing

Clay, glazing, and firing are not included in the membership fee.

Clay can be purchased directly from the studio, and all finished work will be charged at our standard firing rates.

Cleaning Responsibilities

Open Studio is a shared creative space, and we ask all members to leave their workspace clean and tidy for the next person.

Your session includes time for cleaning your workstation and equipment before you leave.

Please bring a 10-litre bucket to every Open Studio session. This is used to collect your throwing water and clay slurry, which must be taken home with you. To protect our studio plumbing, clay slurry or clay-contaminated water must never be poured down the studio sinks.

Thank you for helping us keep Pottery Embassy clean, safe, and enjoyable for everyone.
