WMS2502 – Stoneware with Spots

Application: This very popular, fine-grogged stoneware body develops spots that become visible above 1150°C. Suitable for throwing, modelling and hand-building. 

Application Temperature: 1000 - 1300°C

Specifications:

• Grog / Graining: 25% / 0-0.2mm

• Drying Shrinkage: 5.5%

• Firing Shrinkage :

  • At 1200°C: 4.9%

  • At 1220°C: 5.9%

  • At 1260°C: 6.1%

• Water Absorption:

  • At 1200°C: 3.5%

  • At 1220°C: 2.0%

  • At 1260°C: 0.8%

Sintering: (Water Absorption ≤2%) at 1220°C

• Thermal Expansion Coefficient (20-400°C):69 * 10⁻⁷/K (Pre-firing: 1200°C)
